Although the team was sad that the season ended this way, they are being optimistic about the team's future. With 11 juniors on the team this year, if all of them return, next season will be packed with experienced and familiar players.

"This year several players showed a lot of promise, and if we can get all of these players back for next season, then I think we will be in good hope, " Lee said.

The season did not end on a bad note, however, as some of the Wolves received honors from the conference committee.

Five of the men were named to the WHAC Academic All-Team - more than any other team in the conference. Lone senior Chris Shepard, juniors Adam Harris, Scott Rutter and Danny Kimmel and sophomore Maurice Taylor all made the 3.25 GPA cut. Rutter was also named to the WHAC Champions of Character Team.

Shepard and Travis were the lead scorers for the Wolves, as they both had a 13.32 average to end the season. Travis also led in rebounds, with a 8.46 average.

As with past years, the Wolves hope to do better in conference play, hopefully resulting in being in the top three or four. The Wolves will be training in the off season and when next season rolls around, they will be prepared.

"I am looking forward to improving in everything next season so I plan on working extra hard in the off-season," Lee said.
