You may know him from MTV's "Wild 'N Out," or his "Boondocks" character A Pimp Named Slickback, or as Money Mike in "Friday After Next." What you may not know is that his shows sell out.

Everyone wants to work with him. He has done television, movies, videos and music. He lends his talent to those who are lucky or wise enough to realize who they are working with. A comedic genius. A man who is on the verge of becoming a mega star.

Katt Williams is as serious about his career as he is about his children. He will be performing at the Fox Theatre for two shows on April 1, 2006, and he took time out to talk to The Michigan Journal about his tour, his kids and what it means to be a pimp.

Michigan Journal: What was going through your mind when you found yourself performing in front of the NAACP at the age of eight?

Katt Williams: I was young. You know when you are young, you just do what you do. I can use my IQ now. I had an IQ of 141 at eight. So you know what was I gonna do with it. I was just trying to be impressive and not mess up. I didn't have any deeper thoughts than that. It was a poem that I liked and I could understand it. I'm taking all that stuff off my bio.

MJ: No, don't take it off. Because your characters have such a strong personalities, sometimes it good to see the other side of that.

KW: Everything that people think about is true. It's just so much more to me than those things. If you see me walk into a club and I have a few women with me, that's what people expect of me. The fact that I got eight kids, seven adopted, every day. For them to see me doing laundry or cooking or with all eight kids at the park...that's the part they wouldn't expect to see.

MJ: That is so impressive, the fact that you would take the time to spend, and bring up children, so I congratulate you on that. How is the tour going?

KW: It's never been better.
