Michigan Coach Lloyd Carr decided to go for it and Henne's pass to tight end Tyler Ecker for 13 yards rejuvenated the drive.

However, the offense was not able to convert that to a touchdown and place kicker Garrett Rivas was called upon for a 26-yard field goal cutting the lead to 14-10.

Michigan ended up taking the lead in the fourth quarter after wide receiver Steve Breaston caught a pass to flat-left from Henne, broke a tackle and rushed down the sideline 52-yards for a touchdown.

Henne completed 14 of 21 attempts for 206 yards, two touchdowns and an interception for the game.

Iowa received the last possession of regulation time with 2:42 remaining starting at their own 12-yard line.

Although Michigan's defense allowed another long drive by the Hawkeyes, they were able to hold them to a 32-yard field goal that went through as time ran out to tie the game at 17 heading into overtime.

The Wolverines won the coin toss and elected to take the ball second.

Iowa was able to move the ball at first but were stifled at the Michigan 10-yard line forcing them to go for the field goal.

The Wolverines took over as Jackson put the nail in Iowa's coffin.

Michigan had to deal with running back Mike Hart being in and out of the lineup for most of the game as he seemed to tweak his ankle early on in the first quarter.

The Wolverines (5-3) continue on the road this week heading to Northwestern Saturday for a 7:00 p.m. start. The Wildcats (5-2) are coming off a blowout victory of Michigan State, 49-14.
