Parents should not be deciding on the curriculum of sex education in their children's school.

It is impossible for parents to remain unbiased when considering their children. Each will believe that the ideas they have will work for their child, often at the expense of another.

While parental guidance and support is important in the home and at school, a more unbiased person who doesn't know each individual's emotional capacity should formulate a curriculum for everyone.

More importantly, parents should not be concerned in getting involved in all aspects of their child's sex education. At home, children listen to parents much more than any other person but a school environment invites those same children to hear the opinions and teaching styles of a certified individual.

At times, too many people want to get involved in decision-making, causing the result to be skewed, and this can ruin a child's learning and development. An imbalance of information can also be reached, as some parents may not want their children exposed to contraceptives, while others will want them introduced as an alternative to unprotected sex.

Overall, both sides must be held accountable for the education of children.
