For the seventh year in a row, University of Michigan - Dearborn students, families and community members gathered in the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center for the Unity in Diversity Dinner. The UM-D Muslim Students' Association (MSA) organizes the event each year to celebrate Ramadan and to bring together people of all religions across the area.
The 1200-piece Penrose tile mosaic that was to be placed on the second floor of the CASL building over Summer II 2008 has not yet started construction due to a lack of funding. The mosaic will eventually be placed on the second floor of the CASL building to display the beautiful connection between mathematics and art.
Hundreds of supporters attended the AIDS Walk in Royal Oak presented by Steppin' Out last Sunday. Started 18 years ago by Tony Caputo, a business owner in Royal Oak, the walk has continuously grown every year. Over a dozen agencies in Southeastern Michigan were benefited by the proceeds of the walk.
