Midnight Madness brings mayhen to the Field house

Last Thursday, the University of Michigan-Dearborn Student Activities Office, along with the Student Activities Board and the Wolf Pack hosted Midnight Madness from 9 p.m. to midnight. The annual mixture of competitions, games and music, now in its second year, was created to help introduce the campus community to the men's and women's basketball teams, as well as serve as a night of b-balling fun for everyone who attends.

Speakers share expertise in Judaism, Islam and Christanity

Last Wednesday, the Thaqalayn Muslim Association (TMA) presented a panel discussion on the three major Abrahamic faiths: Islam, Judaism and Christianity. "Ignorance may divide us but faith unites us" was the motto of the event. The organization brought three experts to campus to discuss the different faiths and to shed light on the connections that they have in common.

Kits for Kids collects school supplies for Iraqi children

After more than a month of collecting, the Kits for Kids campaign came to an end last Thursday. Kits for Kids was a campaign that various organizations on campus participated in to help Iraqi school-children attain an education. The campaign was to collect school supplies and send them to Iraq for distribution to the schools.

Lyceum combines 'Disconnect' reception with open mic night

Last Wednesday night, as a continuation of their semester theme of "a state of disconnect," Lyceum, along with Campus Video and WUMD, presented the Open Mic Contest Reception in Kochoff Hall. At the end of October, Lyceum's art and photography contest came to a conclusion.

Jail n Bail breaks out the donations

Delta Sigma Sigma hosted their annual "Jail n Bail" last Thursday on the UC stage. They raised money for Michigan Parkinson's Disease. People could pay to have their friends arrested - $1 for five minutes; $3 for five minutes and $5 for 10 minutes. The sorority raised approximately $140 for their philanthropy.
