The weekend started out smoothly, but quickly took a sharp turn for the worse, leading to 9-4 and 4-0 defeats to Ohio University. The Wolves came out determined in the first period Friday night.
It was almost too easy. The Michigan Wolverines are now 6-0 on the season after squashing a limping Michigan State team 31-13 Saturday at the Big House. The Wolverines added to the Spartans' crumbling season with a punishing blow to the green and white packed with domination.
The University of Michigan-Dearborn bowling team began their season two weeks ago with a 16th-place finish in the American Heartland Intercollegiate Bowling Conference's first event. Thirty teams from across the country competed at the tournament. Two UM-D bowlers finished in the top 50 individually - senior Captain Michael Kiel finished 12th and junior Martez Banks finished 42nd.
