Michigan suspends contract over practices; vending machines may go empty

As of Jan. 1, the University of Michigan suspended its contracts with the Coca-Cola Company, due to alleged human rights violations and hazardous environmental practices in Columbia and India. The decision affects the U of M hospital and all three campus locations: Ann Arbor, Dearborn and Flint.
