As of Jan. 1, the University of Michigan suspended its contracts with the Coca-Cola Company, due to alleged human rights violations and hazardous environmental practices in Columbia and India. The decision affects the U of M hospital and all three campus locations: Ann Arbor, Dearborn and Flint.
Student leaders and representatives came together for the first Student Leadership Summit of the Winter semester, hosted by Student Government, on Jan. 13. Discussed at the summit was the Student Government's proposed increase in the student activities fee.
